Lovely pub, very enjoyable lunch. The team were very welcoming and made it possible for us to sit inside with our reactive dog rather than outside in the garden as we had originally planned to do.
I arrived later than I said and was met with a warm welcome. The staff were very friendly and the food was lovely, the room was clean and very well appointed. I will definitely be visiting again.
We had a wonderful Friday lunchtime meal. Our whole family, three generations were catered for very well. Made to feel very welcome. Good food had by all. The garden is small but a real sun trap. Our hosts could not have been nicer. Well done!
Wonderful pub. Super friendly service and very accommodating. Don't have a specific kids menu but offered to accommodate our toddler with fish fingers, ended up getting her a starter portion of ravioli. They gave her a little fork to eat it with and she loved it. I'm sure they would have done a smaller portion of sausages if asked as super helpful. Food was great value for money, great quality produce and delicious.
Lovely family run pub, with amazing food. Little choice, not sire, because it was off-season, but only 2 mains, and few starters, classic burgers, and few salads. But one of the mains: fish and chips: TOP QUALITY! I would even dare to say that was one of the best I have ever had!
We walked into this charming little bar last Saturday afternoon to find a warming fire brightly burning in the woodburner. Great start as it was a bright but freezing day. Beautifully and tastefully decorated pub and the lady who runs it friendly and chatty. Good menu to cover all tastes. My husband is vegan and I'm vegetarian - not a problem. Had a delicious sandwich with fresh, seeded bread and skin on fries. My husband was able to have a zero alcohol Guiness, his favourite and we werre amazed to see zero wine and gin on the drinks menu too. That doesn't often happen! We also viewed one of the newly built cabins behind the pub. Very cosy and tastefully done with a double bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette area in each. We were delighted and charmed to discover the Beehive and can't wait to return for dinner and Sunday lunch.
Quaint little pub with a cosy friendly atmosphere. Very welcoming staff. One of the best roast dinners I've had in a while. Will definitely make the trip to come back.
We spent the evening at The Beehive this week, enjoying both a gourmet taster menu created by some fantastic visiting chefs and an overnight stay in one of their brand new 'hives'. Our dinner was tasty and well executed, particular highlights were the white asparagus starter and the venison with plum compote- delicious and washed down with a great selection of wine and beer! The brand new accommodation is 5 star. Tastefully decorated with a superbly comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom and everything you might need for a short or longer break. Caroline and Simon were superb and welcoming hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed and more. A hidden gem.
